津田の作品を前にすると、写真からトポグラフィックな地名が消え、見慣れた地図のなかからむくむくと新しい地図が立ち現れてくる。
目に見える境界と目に見えない心理的な境界の両方を軽々と飛び越え、あらゆる枠組みから解放されて、見る者は誰でもない一人の“わたし”として、そこにある一つの世界と向き合わざるをえないのだ。

When we look at Tsuda’s work, the topographic place names disappear from the photographs, and new maps slowly emerge from the depths of the maps we have grown accustomed to. The viewer finds himself leaping easily over both visible boundaries and invisible, psychological boundaries, freed from any kind of framework, and forced to confront the world that emerges as an unnamed “I”.
